According to BrokerCheck broker John Patrick Shortal (CRD# 2233172) is currently registered at Moloney Securities Co., Inc. in Jerseyville, Illinois and has or has had four customer disputes.
One customer dispute from 2023 alleges that Shortal recommended unsuitable investments, with alleged damages of $87,000. This dispute was settled in FINRA arbitration for $29,950. Another customer dispute alleged negligence and unsuitability from 2018 – 2022. The alleged damages were $664,400 and the dispute is pending.
Shortel has two more pending disputes for negligence/unsuitability. One was filed in November of 2024 with alleged damages of $400,000. The second dispute was filed in October 2024 with alleged damages of $300,000.
